Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, delivered remarks in two side events of the 65th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW 65), on Wednesday 17th March 2021.

The Secretary-General spoke (video message) at the event "Thank you" Doesn't Pay the Bills: Join EPIC and Close the Gender Pay Gap, organised by Switzerland and Equal Pay International Coalition (EPIC), along with Imene Zahouani Houimel, Minister of Women, Family and Older Persons, Tunisia; Alain Berset, Head of the Federal Department of Home Affairs, Switzerland; Olena Zelenska, the First Lady of Ukraine; Guy Ryder, Director-General, International Labour Organization; Åsa Regnér, Deputy Executive Director for Normative Support, UN System Coordination and Programme Results; and representatives of International Organisation of Employers and International Trade Union Confederation.

Mr. Angel Gurría also delivered closing remarks at an event organised by Ms. Åsa Lindhagen, Swedish Minister for Gender Equality, on the theme of Generating empowerment, empowering generations – Delivering on women’s economic empowerment and rights. The OECD co-organised the event.
