The OECD Secretary-General in Beijing, 21-24 March 2014


Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Beijing from 21 to 24 March 2014 to attend the China Development Forum (CDF) where he delivered remarks on “Promoting a Fair and Sustainable Welfare System”.

In Beijing, the Secretary-General also held meetings with several Chinese officials.

At the Central Party School (CPS), Mr. Angel Gurría delivered remarks at a roundtable on Inclusive Growth, which included scholars and Party executives in training at CPS.

At the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), he signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CASS President Wang Weiguang.

The Secretary-General also delivered opening remarks on “Inclusive Growth in a Rapidly Urbanising China” at the OECD/NDRC Inclusive Growth Seminar, and a speech at a Dinner with the Business Community.
