OECD Secretary-General in New York, 26-27 February 2014

 


tackling inequalities coverpage‌Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in New York on 26-27 February 2014 to open the OECD / Ford Foundation Workshop “Changing the Conversation on Growth: Going Inclusive”, alongside Mr. Darren Walker, President of the Ford Foundation.

While in New York, the Secretary-General met with several US authorities, as well as with Mr. Ban Ki Moon, Secretary General of the United Nations, Ms. Helen Clark, Administrator, UNDP and Michael Bloomberg, UN Special Envoy for Cities and Climate Change.

In New York, Mr. Angel Gurría also delivered a speech on “Tackling Inequality: Getting the Policy Challenges Right” at the Council on Foreign Relations and presented the OECD report “United States – Tackling high inequalities, creating opportunities for all”.
