Turkey, an OECD member country, has endured several attacks in recent times. Each of these deeds is an offense to our collective freedoms, values and way of living. We categorically condemn these terrible acts.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2015 G20-OECD Global Forum on International Investment. The forum provides an important opportunity for dynamic, frank and constructive dialogue on measures to catalyse investment and develop a more coherent and cohesive global trade and investment regime.
Unemployment is high and large numbers of children and adults do not have the basic skills necessary to thrive in today’s global economy. We need to kick-start a global skills revolution and build the policies that will save a whole generation, said OECD Secretary-General.

One billion people cannot get clean drinking water and 2.5 billion lack access to basic sanitation which cause 1.5 million preventable child deaths per year. While addressing the emergency of the current crisis, we must not forget that water is the most essential good and we should find new and innovative approaches to allow everyone access to water and sanitation, according to the OECD Secretary-General.
The current crisis provides an impetus to push forward difficult reform, an opportunity that should not be wasted for the water sector, according to Angel Gurría. He affirmed that there were huge opportunities for job-creating and “shovel ready” investments in the water sector, particularly for water saving and the rehabilitation of networks, which require relatively short design and construction planning, compared to other types of

The conditions for Turkish membership in the EU are virtually of a revolutionary character in that they require fundamental change in the structure of government of the republican regime. Given this assessment of the radical character of the proposed reforms for EU membership, the challenge of EU membership is actually an effort of “saving the State”.
