About this year's Forum
The 2012 Global Forum on Trade (GFT) discussed the trade policy implications of the changing market conditions facing services providers, with the view of unleashing the growth potential that more open services markets entail. The objective of this forum was to take stock of insights from recent work on the importance of services trade, including in global value chains, identify the extent of barriers facing services providers and distil practical services trade policy consequences for countries at different levels of income.
