The OECD is co-operating with APEC in a joint project on regulatory reform that shares work and Experience from the two organisations. The APEC-OECD Cooperative Initiative on Regulatory Reform provides a forum for multidisciplinary discussions that deepen understanding of the impact of regulatory reform on economic growth and trade. An integrated checklist [link] has been elaborated to serve as a tool for government self-assessment on regulatory, competition and market openness policies, and for benchmarking on a voluntary basis progress in effective implementation of the APEC and OECD principles.
The OECD has also carried out an analysis of existing codes of corporate conduct and of their economic impact. Codes of corporate conduct have been a focus for analysis of international business activities.
