La technologie et l'innovation sont des facteurs clé du développement durable. Pourtant, notre système socio-économique ne crée pas suffisamment d'incitations pour les mettre au service de cet objectif. Les travaux menés sur ce thème explorent donc les possibilités d'amener innovation et changement technologique à mieux contribuer au développement durable.

This publication presents the proceedings of an international workshop, held in South Africa, that addressed how international co-operation in science and technology can further the three inter-related aspects (economic, social and environmental) of the development process. The workshop focused on good practices in international S&T partnerships, specifically in the areas of water and energy.
