Conference "Making entrepreneurship and SMEs more innovative"

Innovation and entrepreneurship performance of a locality are key in supporting long-term growth. How to design local policies which improve this performance was the focus of this conference in Udine (Italy). Participants included high-profile representatives from both the public and private sectors including entrepreneurs, bankers, policy makers and academics.

Report on "Strengthening Entrepreneurship and Economic Development in East Germany: Lessons from Local Approaches"

The report  is the result of a two-year work programme on the challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurship development in East Germany undertaken by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, through its Local Economic and Employment Development Programme (LEED), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs (BMVBS), Angelegenheiten der Neuen Länder department.
