The WPSMEE provides the analytical work and information, including evaluation of policies and best practices, and recommendations, needed by member governments, accession and enhanced engagement countries - and interested non-members - to develop policies that foster entrepreneurship, help their SMEs to innovate and meet the challenge of globalisation, facilitate sustainable growth, competitiveness, skilled jobs creation and employment.

High-Growth Enterprises: What governments can do to make a difference

High-growth enterprises, that frequently drive job creation and innovation, are getting increasing attention from policy makers.  A study by the OECD WPSMEE, conducted in 2008, looked at the challenges faced by high-growth enterprises and reviewed the programmes that policy makers in 24 countries have put in place to support the growth of enterprises.
