The Joint Venture on Monitoring the Paris Declaration been tasked with coordinating the 2006 Survey on Monitoring the Paris Declaration. It is to be undertaken in the 60 countries that endorsed the Paris Declaration.

The documentation for the 2008 Survey on Monitoring the Paris Declaration is now available in English and French, and Spanish and can be downloaded on the dedicated website . Fifty-six countries have confirmed that they will be undertaking this survey. The survey is to be carried out between 2 January - 31 March 2008.

How effective is aid at helping developing countries eradicate poverty? In March 2005, more than 100 countries made a firm commitment in the Paris Declaration to measure their success, or failure, in making aid more effective. 34 countries that receive aid participated in a groundbreaking survey to measure the effectiveness of aid. Generally encouraging, the results show that developing countries and donors are working hard to made aid work better.
