E-government

Launched in 2001, the OECD E-Government Project explores how governments can best exploit information and communication technologies (ICTs) to embed good governance principles and achieve public policy goals. The Project produces reports on best practices and develops frameworks for addressing issues such as cost/benefit analysis, e-services and take-up. It also carries out country peer reviews on e-government. These reviews place e-government in a national context, and help identify the strengths and weaknesses of national e-government programmes. International Workshop on Building Citizen-Centred Policies and Services, Ljubljana, Slovenia

This workshop provided a unique forum for policy dialogue and exchange of good practice, tools and tips for building citizen centred policy and services based on concrete experience. It was co-organized by the OECD and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia with the support of the World Bank’s Communication for Governance & Accountability Program (CommGAP), DECIM, the European Citizen Advisory Service (ECAS) and Involve.

E-Leaders Conference: The Future of E-Government -- Agenda 2020

The OECD and the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations organised this conference on the Future of E-Government, on 6-7 March 2008 in The Hague. The conference was chaired by Mr. William Perrin, director e-Government Unit, United Kingdom. The conference was opened with an address by Ms Ank Bijleveld-Schouten, State Secretary, Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, the Netherlands.
