Regional Training Seminar on Exchange of Information: The International Standards and Peer Reviews, 24-28 February 2014


This 5-day seminar was organised in cooperation with OECD’s Global Relations programme and hosted by the OECD Ankara Multilateral Tax Centre.

The seminar focused on the international standard for transparency and exchange of information for tax purposes and on system of its monitoring through the peer review process. Over 30 participants from 18 jurisdictions mainly from Eastern Europe and Central Asia participated on the seminar. 


In addition to presentations on different aspects of the international standard and its implementation in practice participants were provided with guidance on the peer review process and the Terms of Reference. Participants also shared their views and experiences on several issues related to exchange of information for tax purposes. The seminar was also an excellent opportunity for officials practically dealing with exchange of information in the region to meet with each other.

The seminar revealed high commitment to the international standard and great level of practical experience with exchange of information among participating jurisdictions.
