Release of OECD Revenue Statistics in Latin America and the Caribbean 2015

The OECD will present the fourth edition of its tax policy publication Revenue Statistics in Latin America and the Caribbean on Tuesday 10 March 2015.

 

This year’s report, which will be launched during the 27th Regional Seminar on Fiscal Policy organised by the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), looks at tax revenue trends from 1990 to 2013 in 20 Latin American economies. A special chapter in the report considers alternatives to current accounting methods for government fiscal revenues.  A second special chapter analyses trends in revenues from non-renewable natural resources in some Latin American countries.


Angel Melguizo, head of the Latin America and Caribbean Unit at the OECD Development Centre, 
will present the report during the 2nd session of the Seminar to take place on 10 March, 2:30 p.m. local time.


Other experts participating in the session on “Tax systems, incentives and income distribution” moderated by Ricardo Martner, from the ECLAC, include:

Revenue Statistics in Latin America and the Caribbean 2015is a joint publication by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Centre for Tax, Policy and Administration, the OECD Development Centre, the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Inter-American Centre of Tax Administrations (CIAT) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). It provides internationally comparable data on tax levels and tax structures in countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

 

Revenue Statistics in Latin America and the Caribbean 2015 will be under embargo until Tuesday 10th March, 02:30 pm (Santiago time)/ 18:30 (Paris). Advance copies will be available the day before release, in both English and Spanish.
