Information reported by Members of the OECD's Working Party on Export Credits and Credit Guarantees on their procedures and practices, as at 6 April 2005, towards the environment when providing officially supported export credits.
Case studies include: motor vehicle sector in Japan, Poland, South Africa and Australia; health services in the USA and Mexico, Japan, Philippines and Thailand; international IT sourcing in the United States, India and Europe plus IBM and Infosys.
Studies include: textile and clothing sectors in Bangladesh, Colombia, Lesotho, Mauritius, USA, Australia and the Slovak Republic; the steel industry in Europe and the US; and shipbuilding in the EU, Japan and Australia.

During their 93rd Meeting on 2-5 November 2004, the Participants to the Arrangement on Officially Supported Export Credits agreed on a two-year pilot programme which would provide a greater transparency and efficiency in the use of untied ODA credits.
Last week in Paris at the OECD, the Participants to the Arrangement and Brazil started a review of the disciplines applicable to officially supported export credits for civil aircraft.
Recommendation on Common Approaches on Environment and Officially Supported Export Credits, as amended by the OECD Council on 24 January 2005, following the request made by the ECG at their November 2004 Meeting.
