The following is a brief summary of the discussions that took place at the 131st Session of the Trade Committee which took place on 23-24 April 2001.
Members of the OECD Working Party on Export Credits and Credit Guarantees recognise the importance of the Debt Initiative for Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPCs), so as to ensure that adjustment and reform efforts are not put at risk by continued high debt and debt service burdens.
