Fishing for Development - A Joint Session of the COFI, DAC, FAO and WB on Policy Coherence for Development in Fisheries and Aquaculture

OECD Conference Centre, Room CC9, Paris | 10-11 April 2014

On 10-11 April 2014, the OECD Fisheries Committee (COFI), the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Bank (WB) will host a joint session on policy coherence for development (PCD) in fisheries and aquaculture.

The purpose of the meeting is to identify how fisheries and aquaculture can best contribute to economic development and food security notably by improving policy coherence for development in fisheries and aquaculture policy-making in both developed and developing countries.

The meeting provides a unique forum and opportunity to initiate a dialogue between the fisheries and the development policy communities from OECD members and partner countries on key issues of shared interest.
