This web page contains the 2013 edition of the Rules and Regulations of the OECD Seed Schemes. Changes approved at the 2012 Annual Meeting of the OECD Seed Schemes have been included in this edition.
The 2013 edition reflects the following amendments to the Rules:
- Extending the authorisation of field inspection to Pre-basic and Basic seed production
- Extending the OECD Experiment on larger lot sizes
- Substituting the botanical term Graminaea by Poaceae
In July 2008, the OECD Council decided to delegate to the Committee for Agriculture the Authority to approve the technical amendments in annexes to the OECD Codes and Schemes [C(2008)120]. Following this decision, the Committee for Agriculture has approved in 2012 the following amendments to the Seed Schemes: Draft Council Decision Revising the OECD Schemes for the Varietal Certification or the Control of Seed moving in International Trade [TAD/CA(2012)13].
