  • 21st Century Production Revolution, 10:30am-12:00pm (CET), 28 May 2013 — The rise in global value chains alongside the growing importance of knowledge-based capital - such as research, data and design - present opportunities to boost productivity, spur growth and foster development. OECD Director for Science, Technology and Industry, Andrew Wyckoff, will set the scene for this session on how to unlock sustainable growth. Watch the live webcast at 10:30am (CET).
  • The Power of One, 12:00pm-1:30pm (CET), 28 May 2013 — Corporate greed and bad management are seen as the initial causes of the economic crisis, but governments are also blamed for failing to prevent it. What can governments do to restore lost confidence? Do social media facilitate direct communication between government and all of society? And if so, can this really lead to fundamental changes in how policies are made?
  • Out with the Old, In with the New, 5:00pm-6:30pm (CET), 28 May 2013 — Young firms account for a very large share of job creation in OECD countries. Innovation has also radically transformed business models, with firms now investing heavily in a range of intangible, knowledge-based assets to differentiate their products and services. OECD Deputy Director for Science, Technology and Industry, Dirk Pilat, will set the scene for this OECD Forum session and highlight policies to help firms prosper. Watch the live webcast at 5:00pm (CET).
