The focus of this report is on the industrial, agricultural and environmental applications of recombinant DNA engineered organisms because rDNA techniques have developed and progressed to the stage of commercialisation during the last fifteen years.
Rapid technological developments in the field of information, computers and communications are leading to significant structural changes in the economies of Member countries.
This declaration is intended to make clear the general spirit in which OECD Member countries will address policy issues connected with these transborder data flows.
