Most of the work of the OECD in the area of security is based on the Security Guidelines.
After their adoption, the OECD monitored their implementation and organised events to share experience and best practices across governments and with the business community and civil society.
This resulted in a report on the Promotion of a Culture of Security for Information Systems and Networks in OECD Countries in 2005.
An OECD-APEC Workshop on Security of Information Systems and Networks was held in Seoul in September 2005
