OECD annual inflation rate eases slightly to 3.2% in October 2011

29/11/2011 - Consumer prices in the OECD area rose by 3.2% in the year to October 2011, compared with 3.3% in the year to September. This easing in the annual rate of inflation mainly reflected slower growth in energy prices, which increased by 12.4% in the year to October down from 14.2% in the year to September. Food prices rose by 4.1% in the year to October, down from 4.2% in the year to September. Excluding food and energy, the annual inflation rate rose by 2.0% in October, compared with 1.9% in September.
