When Israel joined the OECD in 2010, the OECD's Statistics Committee asked the government to submit to a review of its data collection methods, including clarification of the geographic coverage of the data.
Based on this review, the OECD has published a report that comments on the methodologies used, benchmarking them against international standards and best practices. The report also presents some of the macroeconomic and socio-economic data used in the review.
The OECD report is without prejudice to the status of the Golan Heights, East Jerusalem and the Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
