OECD composite leading indicators point to diverging growth patterns in major economies

08/11/10 - OECD composite leading indicators (CLIs) for September 2010 point to diverging patterns of economic growth across major economies.

The CLIs show signs of continuing expansion in Germany, Japan, the United States and Russia, while pointing to a moderate downturn in Canada, France, India, Italy and the United Kingdom.

In July 2010, the OECD reviewed the CLI for 3 countries (China, India, Indonesia). In doing so, some component series have been dropped or replaced. As a consequence, chronology of turning points of the CLIs as well as component series have been revised. Download further details on the change (PDF).
