NATIONAL ACCOUNTS FOR OECD NON-MEMBER COUNTRIES |
In this November 2006 release of the MEI database the
OECD has significantly expanded the range of series
provided on national accounts for OECD non-member
countries (Brazil, China, Indonesia, India, Russian
Federation and South Africa). In addition the codes for
previously published series have changed in many cases
and a small number of series have been suppressed. The
attached Excel file CodeChanges_MEINov06.xls
contains the following specific information about these
changes: - worksheet NewCodes_MEINov06 lists the 72 series whose codes has changed and provides a concordance between the old and new codes; - worksheet NewSeries_MEINov06 lists the 135 new series that have been added with the November 2006 release; - worksheet SuppressedSeries_MEINov06 lists the 14 series that have been suppressed from the MEI database. |

New seasonal adjustments by OECD are generally carried out once a year, when the December figure is available. Revisions to individual series due to new seasonal adjustments by national source or by OECD are not signalled in this note. | |||||
