NEW BALANCE OF PAYMENTS SERIES |
I n the October 2005 electronic version of the MEI, a substantial number of new Balance of Payments series
are being released. These series mostly cover the total Services component in
the Current Account of the Balance of Payments and the presentation of country
Balance of Payments series in USD (United States dollars). The list of the new
series can be found in the excel file
BoP_MEI_CD.xls.

CHANGES FOR LABOUR COMPENSATION STATISTICS
|
In this release of the MEI database a small
number of changes have been made to the codes of previously miscoded series for
labour compensation statistics and two series have been suppressed. In addition,
private sector earnings series have been included for the first time for a
number of countries. The excel spreadsheet
labour_Compensation_changes.xls lists the series codes affected by these
changes.

SEASONAL ADJUSTMENTS |
New seasonal adjustments by OECD are generally
carried out once a year, when the December figure is available. Revisions to
individual series due to new seasonal adjustments by national source or by OECD
are not signalled in this note.
