Alan Hall has worked for over 30 years in development activities that have taken him to many parts of the world.  He has been involved in all aspects of water, most recently focusing on the management of water resources. He has worked in research and consultancy and spent six years with the African Development Bank on water and agriculture policies and projects.

In 2000 he was the GWP team leader for the Framework for Action which was one of the two key documents at the World Water Forum in The Hague.  He presently works with GWP, based in Stockholm, responsible for global initiatives. He promoted the issues of Water Governance a generally technically minded water community . He was instrumental in establishing a high level (Camdessus) Panel on “Financing Water for All” and provided support to he Gurria Task Force on Financing Water.
