Loïck Berrou, 44, is a news editor at France 24, the French International News channel. Previously at French TV TF1 (1987/2007), the leading national broadcaster, he has accumulated an extensive experience in coverage of worldwide events (Gulf War 1, Bosnia, Rwanda, Congo, Kosovo, Hong Kong handover, etc).

 

He was stationed as a junior correspondent in Tokyo (1989/89) and later as a Bureau Chief in Washington DC (1999/2005), from where he covered presidential elections (2000/2004), the 9/11 events and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

 

Back in France in 2005, he produced magazines for TF1’s Sunday news show, “7 à 8”, before joining France 24.

 

He wrote in 2004 an introduction to the French translation of the 9/11 commission report.

 

He graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, and the Centre de Formation des Journalistes de Paris.
