Loïck Berrou, 44, is a news editor at France 24, the French international news channel.
Previously at French TV TF1 (1987/2007), the leading national broadcaster, he has accumulated an extensive experience in coverage of worldwide events (Gulf War 1, Bosnia, Rwanda, Congo, Kosovo, Hong Kong handover, etc).
He graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, and the Centre de Formation des Journalistes de Paris. He was stationed as a junior correspondent in Tokyo (1989/89) and later as a Bureau Chief in Washington DC (1999/2005), from where he covered presidential elections (2000/2004), 9/11 and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Back in France in 2005, he produced documentaries for TF1’s Sunday news show, “7 à 8”, before joining France 24. In 2004 he wrote an introduction to the French translation of the 9/11 commission report.
