Graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques Paris, and a former student of ENA (1974), Anne-Marie IDRAC has been Secretary of State for Foreign Trade since March 2008.

Her former positions include: Secretary of State for Transport (1995 - 1997), Deputy for Yvelines (1997 and 2002), Regional Councillor for the Ile-de-France (1998), Vice-President and Secretary General, UDF; Chief Executive Officer, RATP (2002 - 2006) and President, SNCF. During her tenure, Mrs. IDRAC reformed SNCF to meet the deadline of the opening up of rail transport to competition and expanded the company internationally, particularly in Argentina and Morocco.
