HEC (Hautes études commerciales) School of Management’s Dean since 1995 and Chairman of the Community of Management Schools (CEMS) since 2006, Bernard Ramanantsoa qualified as an aeronautical engineer from the École nationale supérieure de l’aéronautique de Toulouse, and has an HEC MBA, Ph.D. in Management Science.

 

After 7 years in the Marketing Department of SNCF (French national railways), Bernard Ramanantsoa joined HEC in 1979 as a professor of Strategy and Business Policy specialising in the formulation and implementation of strategy within large firms.

 

Bernard Ramanantsoa was elected associate dean of the Faculty and Research in 1993 and was appointed Dean in 1995. Dean Ramanantsoa also offers his expertise as a consultant to international companies and to organisations such as the United Nations and the European Community and has worked for McKinsey. As a recognised management expert, he has written several works on the subject including:
