Glen Hodgson

Glen Hodgson brings 26 years of experience to the position of Senior Vice-President and Chief Economist of The Conference Board of Canada. Glen Hodgson joined the Board in September 2004, following a decade at Export Development Canada (EDC) where he held several senior positions including vice president of Policy and deputy chief economist.

He also spent 10 years with the federal Department of Finance, including serving as departmental secretary in the Deputy Minister’s Office. He served as advisor/assistant to the Executive Director for Canada, Ireland and the Caribbean at the International Monetary Fund in the mid-1980s.

Glen Hodgson is the author of over 70 publications and published his first book, Mission Possible: Stellar Canadian Performance in the Global Economy, in January 2007.
