Loïc Fauchon participated in the creation and development of the World Water Council. He has been a member of the Board, first as a special advisor to the President, then as Vice-President and finally as President since 2005. He is presently President-General Director of the Marseilles Water Supply Group. He has also served in the French public sector, in the Prefecture and in the Regional Assembly, before becoming Director of the Mayor’s Office and finally, Secretary General of the City of Marseilles. He has also served for eight years as Mayor of Loïc Fauchon participated in the creation and development of the World Water Council. He has also served for eight years as Mayor of the City of Trets, France. In 1977, he created the NGO “Transahara”, which organizes emergency and development assistance missions in sub-Saharan Africa and Eastern Europe. After obtaining a post-graduate degree in Political Science and receiving his diploma in Advanced Economic Studies, Loïc Fauchon obtained a Ph.D in economics and law.
