Xiaozhun Yi

Xiaozhun Yi, Vice Minister, Ministry of Commerce, People's Republic of China

Mr. Yi was born on December 22, 1951. He joined the Department of International Trade and Economic Affairs (DITEA), Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) in 1984. From 1987 to 1992, he worked in the Chinese Embassy in USA. During his career in DITEA, MOFTEC, he was mainly responsible for WTO related affairs and regional economic cooperation. In July 2003, he was appointed Assistant Minister of Ministry of Commerce. In September 2005, he was appointed Vice Minister of Ministry of Commerce. Prior to joining MOFTEC, he was a researcher in Beijing Institute of Economics from 1977 to 1984.
