  • Since October 2005 - Minister of Economy 
  • September 2004-September 2005 - Expert of the Parliamentary Committee investigating irregularities at Poland's PKN Orlen (Polish Petrol Company)
  • 2004-2005 - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ence.Eko Limited, and responsible for consulting in the field of investment projects in the power industry
  • 2002-2005 - Ran his own business as economic adviser in the fields of trade in fuel gas, and implementation of projects in the power industry and environment protection technologies
  • July 2000-March 2002 - Member of the Board of Directors of Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. (Polish Oil and Gas Mining Industry PGNiG) as deputy chairman for Trade and Restructuring
  • January 1998-March 2000 - Adviser to the prime minister for infrastructure
