Areas of responsibility (since August 2003): International economic relations. ECOFIN-preparations and the Economic and Financial Committee (EFC). EU (including budget), EMU, IMF, OECD, Nordic and Nordic-Baltic cooperation. Edits the Economic Policy Coordination in the EU.

Previous responsibility (1993-03): General economic policies, fiscal policy strategy, forecasting, projections and policy-evaluations, tax policy, labour market policy (1993-96). Structural policy evaluations (labour markets, taxation, product markets, pension systems and income distribution. Edited the annual Medium Term Economic Survey (Finansredegørelsen), related working papers in English, the Economic Survey (Økonomisk Redegørelse) and Income Distribution and Incentives. Edited ministerial and governmental publications on ageing population, pension reform, tax policy, labour market policy, the effects of globalisation, product market competition, personal services and the medium term economic policy strategy.
