• Director of the Operations Quality Support Directorate of EuropeAid, since July 2006. From 2003-2006 she was the Head of the Coordination Unit for development cooperation with West & Central Africa and Caribbean countries, also in EuropeAid.

• 1999-2003 she was a member of the cabinet of the Commissioner Ρoul Nielson, in charge of development cooperation and humanitarian aid. She was responsible for the coordination of development cooperation and humanitarian aid to African of countries as well as for crisis prevention & resolution and human rights issues.

• She was also a member of the cabinet of Commissioner Papoutsis from 1998-1999.

• She has been working for the European Commission since 1991.

Before joining the Commission she has been a senior consultant with Andersen Consulting, special adviser to the Alternate Minister of National Economy and the Minister of Industry in Greece as well as project leader for the Commercial Bank of Greece and Managing Director of a private consultancy firm.

She holds a BSc in Geology and Physics (Univ.London), Masters in Management Science (Imperial College, London) as well as Maîtrise in International Politics (ULB).
