Born in Rome on August 20th, 1966 he graduated in Economics at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in December 1991, with a specialisation in Econometrics. In September 1992, he started working in the Research Department of the Confederation of Italian industries (Confindustria) in Rome, Italy. He became Senior Economist in Confindustria in November 1999, in charge of the analysis of the real economy for the Euro area. In February 2002 he was appointed as Research Director for the Unit realising Business and Consumers Surveys at the Institute for Studies and Economic Analyses (ISAE) in Rome, Italy. In February 2007 he has been re-appointed as Senior Economist at ISAE, in charge of the Survey Unit and of the coordination of the periodical ISAE Report “Monitoring Italy”. Since 2003 he is also Adjunct Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Tuscia, Viterbo. He is member of the Board of Director of the Centre for International Research on Economic Tendency Surveys (CIRET), member of Group of Experts in Business and Consumers Surveys of European Commission-DG ECFIN and of the Euro Area Business Cycle Network (EABCN); he is also referee of several national and international economic Journals. He is author of several articles on economics and statistics published in peer-reviewed international and Italian journals.
