Commissioner of the Korean National Statistical Office
Dae You Kim is the Commissioner of the Korea National Statistical Office (KNSO). Since his appointment in August of 2006, he has accomplished many outstanding contributions, such as launching the Statistical Research Institute, building the E-Nara Indicators System which contains 800 statistical indicators of 41 national agencies, and organizing international conferences including the 2nd OECD World Forum Asia Regional Conference. He started his public life at the Ministry of Government Administration in 1976 and has over thirty years experience in various economic policy activities at the Economic Planning Board and the Ministry of Finance and Economy. His experience includes assignments at the Korea International Cooperation Agency in 1993, Asia Europe Meeting (ASEM) Task Force in 1999, OECD in 2004 where he served as the Korean Minister.
