Current Position:  Chief  Economic Adviser in the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies, Rome, Italy, coordinating the “policy monitoring” working group. 
Education:
• 1983: Degree  in Economics and Commerce (110/110 with laude); University of Naples, Italy. (obtained the 18th May 1983)
• 1983-84: Master in Management; ISTAO (Istituto Adriano Olivetti), Ancona, Italy.
• 1985-86: Master of Science in Economics (with “distinction”); LSE (London School of Economics), London, U. K..
Work career:
• Since November 1999: Economic Adviser to the Italian Minister of Labour (Labour and Social Policies with the current Government, since June 2001): in charge of public policies monitoring and evaluation (since 2000 the Ministry has started publishing a regular Monitoring Report); for the Ministry he has edited several reports  about employment policies, social situation and pension issues (including  the latest technical annexes to the Employment and Social Inclusion National Action Plans and the National Strategy Report on Pensions); he has also been involved in the team (chaired by Marco Biagi) which produced the White Paper on Labour Market Reform edited by the Italian Government in October 2001.
• October 1997-November 1999: Economic Adviser in the DG ECFIN of the  EC, Brussels
• April 1992 – October 1997: Head of the “Inflation and Labour Market” Unit in the Research Department of the Banca d’Italia, Roma.
• April 1991 - March 1992: Head of the “Business Cycle and Short Term Forecasting ” Unit in the Research Department of the Banca d’Italia, Roma.
• July 1986 - March 1991: Economist in the “Business Cycle and Short Term Forecasting ” Unit in the Research Department of the Banca d’Italia, Roma.
• October 1984 - August 1985: junior assistant in the Banking Supervision Department, Banca d’Italia, Branch of Milan.
