Li Jinhua
Auditor General of China
Mr. Li Jinhua was reappointed Auditor General of China for another five-year term on 17 March 2003, after successfully completed his first term from 1998 to 2003.
Mr. Li Jinhua was born in July 1943 in the Jiangsu Province of China. In 1966, he earned a Bachelor’s degree of Economics from the Central University of Finance and Banking located in Beijing. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Senior Auditor. He is also the honorable professor of the prestigious Peking University, Nankai University, Central University of Finance and Banking and the Nanjing Audit University. As an audit expert, Mr. Li has published a lot of works in this field, and is a major contributor to some major newspapers and journals in China.
In 1985, Mr. Li Jinhua joined the National Audit Office as Deputy Auditor General, and served in the position for 13 years. Before joining the Office, he was the Director General of the Economy and Trade Department of Shaanxi Province.
Mr. Li Jinhua is active in participating in international activities. He is a member of the ASOSAI Governing Board and was elected as the Chairman of the ASOSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing in October 2000.
