Aviana Bulgarelli

Aviana Bulgarelli is Director General for Vocational Training and Guidance at the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. She studied philosophy at University, followed by a postgraduate degree in labour policy and economics. She is been working since many years in applied research and evaluation at ISFOL in Rome, appointed to Research Director responsible for Employment Policy Analysis and Evaluation. As a national expert at the European Commission, she is been working on the European Social Fund, the Force and Tacis programmes and on the methodology of programme evaluation. She also contributed to the ILO’s social and VET policy work in the NIS countries (Newly Independent States of Eastern Europe and Central Asia); she is a member of Cedefop’s Management Board.
