Since October 1989: professor, École Normale Supérieure (ENS), Cachan. Director of the Centre for mathematics and applied mathematics until 31 December 1994, and again from 1 October 1996 to 31 December 1998.

Part-time project leader in the Technology Directorate, French Ministry of Education and Research (from 1 July 1998 to 30 June 2000).
