Peter Kemp

Peter Kemp is Editorial Director at Energy Intelligence, the energy publishing group. He was previously editor of the group's flagship title Petroleum Intelligence Weekly (PIW) from 2001 to March 2007.

At Energy Intelligence he has reported extensively on the Middle East and OPEC. He was previously editor of Middle East Economic Digest (MEED), where he specialised in the economies of the Mideast Gulf states and the politics and economics of oil and gas over a 13-year period.

Before joining MEED he spent more than a decade working in Lebanon, Egypt and Yemen, including stints as a correspondent for MEED, Newsweek, Middle East International, FT Newsletters, the London Daily Mail, the Beirut Daily Star and other titles.

He is a regular broadcaster on oil and Middle East issues for television and radio and has appeared on the BBC, ABC, NBC, CNBC, CNN and other networks.
