Martin Jahn
Deputy Prime Minister, Czech Republic
Born on 21 January 1970. On completing his studies at the University of Economics, he joined the government agency CzechInvest. In 1994-1995, he was head of the marketing department, in 1995-1996 he was director of greenfield projects, and from 1996 to 1999 he was director of the agency’s international office in Chicago. In 1999 he was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of CzechInvest (since January 2004 presented as an agency for business and investment support). In 1997, he enrolled as a student of DePaul University, where he was awarded an MBA in 1999. He was named a Knight of the Order of Merit by the French President. He speaks English, German, Russian, and a little French. He is married and has two children. He is not a member of any political party.
