The work of the Development Centre on international migration demonstrates the important gains for migrants as well as for sending and receiving countries.
Our current work plan, financed by the European Commission, looks at the interrelations between public policies, migration and development of partner countries. The overall objective of the project is to enhance partner countries' capacity to incorporate the migration dimension into the design and implementation of their development strategies and other public policies through a better understanding of the implications of public policies on migration issues. The project is based on ten country studies in Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East and North Africa and Latin America.
