21/10/2015 - The world’s leading source of information and analysis of trends in inequality in developed countries, the OECD is launching a Centre for Opportunity and Equality to promote its research and provide a forum to discuss how policies can best address inequalities in areas including income, wealth, health and education, and their social and economic consequences.
Journalists are welcome to attend the launch event on Monday 26 October 2016 from 9:30-13:30 at the OECD Conference Centre, 2 rue André Pascal, 75016, Paris. The event will be moderated with two panel discussions to address why inequalities are a challenge to our society and a concluding session to underscore the need for inclusive growth. Participants will include Angel Gurría, OECD Secretary-General, Francois Bourguignon, Professor of Economics of the Paris School of Economics and Heather McGhee, President of Demos.
