Josep Puxeu Rocamora was appointed Secretary of State for Rural Affairs and Water in April 2008. Prior to this, he had served in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food as a ministerial advisor, then as General Director for Food Policy and finally as General Secretary for Agriculture and Food.


Mr Puxeu's training background is in agriculture. He has been a director of the public company for the development of the agrarian and fishing sectors in Andalucia, as well as a president of TRAGSA, an agrarian corporation.
