Lorenzo Basso is the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.

A graduate in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires, Mr Basso studied for his Master's degree at the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Zaragoza in Spain. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Buenos Aires.

Mr Basso taught at the School of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires and eventually became Dean of the school. His research has been published in various book chapters and journals and presented at scientific congresses.
