Jørgen Abild Andersen, Director-General, National IT and Telecom Agency, Denmark
Mr. Jørgen Abild Andersen has been the Director-General of the national regulatory authority in Denmark since 1991. As such Mr. Abild Andersen has been responsible for implementing the liberalisation of the Danish telecoms market. Since the establishment of the National IT and Telecom Agency in April 2002, the responsibilities have covered both telecommunication and IT. Mr. Abild Andersen was elected chairman of the European Commission’s Radio Spectrum Policy Group in 2003 and has been elected chairman of European Regulators Group for the year 2005. Mr. Abild Andersen holds a master of law from the University of Copenhagen in 1975.
