Dr. Mario Tobias is Member of Executive Board (Technologies & Services) at the German Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media (BITKOM) in Berlin. He is also lecturer on “environmental protection” and “resource-management in politics and practice” at the Environmental Policy Research Centre (Freie Univ. Berlin). From 2000 to 2005 he was Head of Department at the “Environmental Politics & Sustainability” with BITKOM. He was also Environmental Protection Officer at the Municipality of Vechelde from 1997 to 2000.

Mario Tobias worked on the setup of national clearinghouse on WEEE, in the concept and setup of the “support-office Green IT” with the Federal Ministry for the Environment and the German EPA, and in the “CeBIT Green IT” (2008 – 2010).
Mr. Tobias holds a PhD in Political Science from Freie Univ. Berlin (2007), and a PhD in Ecology from Techn. Univ. Braunschweig (2000).
