STITFF › João Jesus Caetano
João Jesus Caetano is a Program Manager at CEIIA – Center for Excellence and Innovation in the Automotive Industry, an entity that brings together the main Portuguese Industrial Associations, R&D Institutions and Government Agencies in the fields of mobility technologies. He works also at INTELI, a Portuguese think tank on public policies and business strategies. INTELI was responsible for the development of the Portuguese Electric Mobility Program, MOBI.E.
At CEIIA, João is responsible for the creation of an R&D platform aimed to foster electric mobility and related emerging concepts associated with the smart usage of energy and transportation, through the design, test and implementation of new products and systems for markets worldwide.
Before joining CEIIA, João served as an advisor to the Portuguese Secretary of State for Industry and Development, to whom he was responsible for the oversight of foreign direct investments projects in Portugal.
João has a Ph.D. in physics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. Prior to working as an advisor to the Portuguese Government, he was a Research Associate in physics at the University of Wisconsin‐Madison, USA, and at the University of Lisbon, Portugal.
